I wonder what Ed Sheeran would think of being our latest theme for disco dressage. I might reach out to his "people" to see if he is at all interested!
This week started with the floor-planning required to match the choreography that Hannah and I created for "Shivers". This involves me listening to the track a few times and then trying to mirror the movements that make up the dance moves with some formation riding for the horses. Simplicity is key, for our community of riders who are mostly grassroots - prelim/novice standard. It is always possible for our coaches to add complexity to the routines so I start with an accessible plan that the riders will be able to nail after a few practices.
An exciting delivery arrived from FOMO - we have collaborated to produce some awesome ear covers complete with sequins. Look out for a competition next month for our members.
This week I've done my Ride Safe refresher as I'm a trainer I have to keep my knowledge fresh every 3 years. This is now done and I am doing some taster sessions for my local riding school in August, so looking forward to that. I'm also halfway through a Horse Ball coaching qualification with the BHA which might add some diversity to my coaching offering over the next few years. My children are quite keen, so we are off to Lancing again this Summer to develop basic skills. I'm still not convinced i'll ever be able to lean down to the ground to scoop up the ball, as is required, but we will see! Much easier for the children who are lithe and have less fear. https://youtu.be/LOu21W1GkH0

Back to disco, maybe there's a party version of the sport where riders could play with a modified disco ball....you heard it here first!
Revision has started for Stage 5 Business Management - which I'm taking in November. Aided by new highlighters - I do find stationary the most motivating factor when studying. Anyone else feel the same?
